- Receives requests from participants, plan sponsors or pension administrators.
- Sends out forms and notices.
- Receives, reviews and processes returned forms.
- Follows up on involuntary distributions, lost participants and uncashed checks.
- Maintains a tracking system to log the status of all withdrawal processing from beginning to end.
- Enters data from payroll reports or uploads payroll files.
- Prepares reports and communicates with clients.
- Answers phones.
- Distributes mail.
- Receives and forwards kbpension.com emails.
- Develops an understanding of and adheres to Firm policies and procedures including (as appropriate) Firm’s Quality Control document.
- Pursues training and upgrading of skills, including Firm software and Microsoft Office programs, etc.
- Has a basic knowledge and understanding of the services and products offered by the Group.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary. Previous experience in benefits administration preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Excel and Word as well as the ability to learn other programs including database, e-mail, benefits administration, and calendar software.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Conducts himself/herself with integrity in a responsible, professional manner and appearance.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Minimum of a high school education required. Some college education or secondary training preferred.
- Occasional travel for business and staff meetings or to attend seminars using a personal vehicle is likely.
- Overtime work throughout the year as projects and busy seasons require is likely.
- Minimal hazards.
- General office working conditions.
- May be required to lift files/boxes in the range of 10-20 pounds.
