Position Overview:
The People & Talent Specialist supports the Firm’s growth by managing full-cycle recruitment and providing coordination across onboarding and core People Operations processes. This role enhances candidate and employee experiences, strengthens talent pipelines, supports HRIS and compliance accuracy, and contributes to culture and engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is people-focused, organized, and excited to support People Ops work beyond traditional recruiting.

Essential Functions:
Talent Acquisition
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions across the Firm, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate management, and offer coordination.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and attract qualified, diverse talent.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines using social media, job boards, networking events, professional associations, and campus relationships.
  • Coordinate and execute the Firm’s Internship & Summer Leadership programs, including scheduling, candidate communication, events, evaluations, and wrap-up activities.
  • Serve as primary candidate contact to ensure an exceptional hiring experience.
  • Partner with the Director of People Operations and Team Leaders to understand hiring needs and support workforce planning.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiters.
  • Represent the Firm at campus recruiting events, job fairs, and networking opportunities.
Onboarding & People Operations Coordination
  • Coordinate new hire preboarding, communication, and preparation with L&D, IT, Facilities, and Payroll
  • Schedule orientation, build first-week schedules, and support the transition between recruiting, onboarding, and L&D.
  • Complete onboarding compliance tasks, including background checks, I-9 verification, and drug screens.
  • Collect, track, and audit new hire documentation to support HRIS accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare new hire materials, announcements, and onboarding workflows.
  • Partner with L&D to support logistics for technical onboarding and early career programs.
  • Provide administrative support for HRIS updates, employee files, and personnel changes.
People Operations & Employee Experience Support
  • Support People Operations projects such as process improvements, policy updates, employee engagement initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Compile recruiting and onboarding metrics, maintaining accuracy in hiring and People Operations reporting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline People Operations processes and elevate the employee experience.
Other Functions:
  • Develop an understanding of and adhere to Firm policies and procedures including (as appropriate) the Firm’s Quality Control document.
  • Pursue ongoing training and advancement of skills in recruitment, HR compliance, People Operations, technology, HRIS, and communication.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about the Firm’s services, structure, and strategic goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills:
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices, behavioral interviewing, and candidate selection.
  • The ability to exercise the utmost discretion regarding the confidential information inherent to the position.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance requirements, and EEOC guidelines.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and follow-through with an ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to build rapport with candidates, employees, and leaders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn HRIS, ATS, and LMS systems. 
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience: 3+ years of human resources and talent acquisition
License/Certification: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Working Requirements: 
  • Regular local travel for recruiting and networking events.
  • Overtime may occur during peak recruiting periods.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
